CON.TXT is the third distinct convention I’ve been to, and it’s also the third type: media fandom (specifically, slash fandom) as opposed to anime or sci-fi. I’m equally comfortable with all three (alone and in combination), so it’s downright weird to hear otakudom spoken of as if it were a foreign country.
So it was a different experience. And an awesome one in its own right.
After the umpteenth round of rebooting, resetting, unplugging, replugging, and general jiggery-pokery with four separate machines (five, if you count the laptop as well as the desktop), I have Internet access at home again. And there was much rejoicing.
Moving right along . . . does anyone have an audio file of “Downtown Dance,” the end theme for the Irresponsible Captain Tylor TV series? I can’t even find a soundtrack for sale. Cookies to anybody who can provide one.
