Jeeves & Wooster | Jeeves/Bertie, Madeline | R | Three Drabbles
These are rather silly drabbles based on silly plot-bunnies I had to get out of my system.
-
Sherlock | John/Sherlock, ensemble | NC-17 | The Paradox Series
Be warned that there is probably kink herein, much of it is smutty, and my personal BBC Sherlock is mad as a hatter.
-
Hellsing | Integra/Seras, Alucard/Walter, Integra/Alucard | Sims (NSFW)
So far, I’ve mostly taken pictures of the Hellsing family, so I’m going to post those today. Here’s hoping you find their antics as funny as I do.
-
Maria-sama ga Miteru | Sei, Youko, Eriko | Sims
Here we see the lovely “Rosa Family”. Satou Sei, Mizuno Youko, and Torii Eriko.
-
Good Omens | Aziraphale/Crowley | Sim!Aziraphale and Crowley : new and improved!
Thus, it came to pass that the two friends moved into a house together.
-
I can’t draw… but, maybe you’d be interested in a Mac/PC Sims game?
-
Fake News | Jon, Stephen | Sims (II)
I should probably go get breakfast, do laundry and be otherwise useful. Instead I screencap Sims.
-
Fake News | Jon, Stephen | Sims
So there’s this game called the Sims2. And you can… make people with it. (Fake) News anchors, for example. So… I did.
-
I made a series of posts to my own journal about the witches of Oz.
-
hellsing: Zorin Blitz thoughts/observations/guesswork
OK, to follow up the last post I did: here are some thoughts about Millennium’s Big Blonde. As before, these are random and speculative–based on research, detective work, and so forth, but hardly to be taken as dogma.
-
hellsing: Rip Van Winkle thoughts/theories/pedantry/silliness
I’ve been working on an essay about the Millennium women for another community. It’s not done yet, but I just thought I would offer some ideas about Rip to be discussed/ridiculed here.
-
Jeeves & Wooster | Jeeves, Bertie | worksafe | Here comes the Mini Wooster again!
Minii!Bertie enjoying his hot-tea-bath. Then: Four times mini!Bertie refuses Jeeves’ suggestion and one time he agrees.
-
So. I need more lesbian!Madeline. Like breathing.

Keep Calm: Jeeves and Wooster Icon Edition

Differences between the Madoka televised episodes and the DVD versions. (Scroll down a bit, there are a ton of screenshots. DVD versions on top, TV versions on the bottom.) A lot of the new artwork is clearly superior, especially when they go and redraw the characters. On the other hand, there are several that aren’t necessarily better, just…different. (At least, that’s how it looks from the stills. Maybe you have to see them in motion.)
Doctors Who pay tribute to Sarah Jane. And for some lovely tributes of the Doctors themselves, The Twelve Doctors of Christmas, a holiday-timed (if not particularly holiday-themed) series of essays.
Mysterious structures on the Moon – weird, pretty, interesting hooks for Sailor Moon fics.
Cracked explains the factors that drive down quality of Hollywood movies.
Larry Wilmore brings the awesome at the Congressional Correspondents’ Dinner.
…and speaking of black guys I know of through The Daily Show, the ever-delightful Neil deGrasse Tyson pontificates on Stupid Design: all the reasons the universe is really not set up for us. (Warning for some disturbing stillborn photos.)
Kristen Schaal/Rich Blomquist porn, as written by the subjects. There is time travel. It’s delightfully ridiculous.
Geeks get the best wedding cakes. Gondor! Zombie invasion! Steampunk! TARDIS! Bonus: spot the Colbert lurking in there.
Just learned that Olivia has a defunct YouTube channel! Most of the content is funny; most of the comments, regardless of the content, involve slavering over her breasts. Sigh.

Stephen is FOUR and in the TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARDEN and no one understands his sadness.
-
United States of Tara | Buck | G | Support
On being the only guy in a body full of women and…whatever Gimme is.

Star Trek (2009) | Kirk/Spock, McCoy, Uhura, Winona, others | T | Fighting Gravity
When Spock left Starfleet after the encounter with Nero, Jim thought he’d lost his chance at their supposedly destined friendship. Upon returning to Earth after the Enterprise’s first five-year mission, he discovers that Spock lost far more. Jim’s willing to fight for the bright future they were promised, but the one thing standing in its way is Spock himself.

Madoka was also being a good magical girl protagonist by having inwardly tortured thoughts of ennui and angst about what she should do with herself and what she was capable with the few talents she had, if any (which believe me, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you).
-
Puella Magi Madoka Magica | Homura/Madoka, others | T | All The Time In The World
The first time she sees Madoka alive again Homura breaks down. Madoka is their health officer but someone else – Sakura, Sayaka, what does it matter she’s alive, she’s alive, she’s alive – escorts her to the nurse’s office.
-
Puella Magi Madoka Magica | Homura/Madoka, others | K+ | I Want The World To Stop
Time is the reason for all of this death, sorrow and hatred.
-
Puella Magi Madoka Magica | Homura/Madoka | K+ | the end of the Cycle
They are all different, in the tiniest ways that still matter so much.
-
Puella Magi Madoka Magica | Madoka/Homura, ensemble | K | Anything I want?
Kyubey’s tail swished back and forth, the only movement the…cat-rabbit-squirril-hellbeast combo ever made when sitting. “I told you,” His voice rang out in Madoka’s mind because Kyubey couldn’t be bothered to use his mouth’s muscles, “a magical girl of your potential can have anything you want.”
-
Puella Magi Madoka Magica | Kyoko, ensemble | K | painted blind
Some nights she doesn’t stay with Mami or Homura; instead, she wanders the empty streets all night, eating a pilfered apple and thinking about her family or Demons or Sayaka.

Sea Devils, Dinosaurs, and the Master: all in a day’s work for Brigadier Bambera’s UNIT.
-
Doctor Who | Ancelyn/Bambera, Ten | soft R | The History of the Kings of Britain
Happily ever after, with sword fights.
-
Hellsing | Integra | T | We, Her Majesty’s Prisoners
You wake up about that moment in a cold sweat and you open your eyes and you wonder what it was you had a dream about.
-
The sky was a particularly bright shade of happy today. The sun was wearing a happy grin and a rather gaudy sombrero which didn’t at all suit it. But then it had never been much noted for its fashion sense.
-
Hellsing | Anderson, a vampire | T | Bad Girl
Anderson had sliced and stabbed through dozens of ghouls to get here, to the head vampire. To her?
-
Hellsing | Heinkel/Yumiko+Yumie, Anderson | K | The Usual Stakes
“Same stakes as last time for the game pot?” asked Yumie as she dealt the cards.
-
Hellsing | Integra, ensemble | K | Walking In Someone Else’s Heels
Integra decides to clear upa few things about her gender identity to her troops.
-
Discworld | dwarves, Angua | PG-13 | Modern Love
The ongoing changes in dwarven views on gender and sexuality have any number of repercussions. How many young dwarves are “coming out” as the gender they weren’t born as? Conversely, is all this openness actually eroding dwarven freedom to view themselves however, and marry whomever, they wish?
-
Jeeves & Wooster, Lord Peter Wimsey | Jeeves, Bertie, Wimsey | PG-13 | Armistice
Yes, it’s the sequel to Green Ice, or at least part of it. This is only the first part of a much longer story, but it stands on its own, at least for now
-
Supernatural RPF, Twilight | Jared/Jensen, others | PG-13 | Live Free or Twihard
Jensen is Romeo, Jared is Juliet, Team Edward are the Montagues, Team Jacob are the Capulets, and Aldis Hodge sincerely hopes he is not Mercutio, because he does not want to get shanked.
-
Sherlock | John/Sherlock, others | PG | The Issue of Cuddling
That John keeps behaving in unexpected ways is irksome. That Sherlock still hasn’t been able to determine whether or not John wants a physical relationship beyond cuddling on the sofa is… annoying. Vastly so.

Because there is no possible way for me to focus on anything else while watching these episodes, I’m jotting down my realtime reactions to them instead.
If you haven’t seen the series yet, absolutely do not click. I’ve been frantically trying to avoid spoilers ever since the original Japanese airing (which many people watched, whether or not they could understand the dialogue), and even in those short hours I managed to pick up a few. And this is a show for which spoilers are deadly.
Meanwhile, on Japan… April 20, 2011

Madoka comes back tomorrow! And the fandom rejoiced. (Right before Walpurgisnacht/Whaleparties Night/Walmart Purge Night killed us all.)
Jaw-droppingly complex origami. Seriously, those are each a single sheet of paper.
The manga-education market pulls foreign students in droves to Japan.
An analysis of maid cafés: the way they’re organized, the social dynamics they foster.
Background on what drives the manga industry, and how to keep a title in print. Sadly ironic, that’s a Tokyopop article — and here’s a roundup of news about their recent implosion. There goes my Pet Shop of Horrors T_T
In happier news, Kodansha answers questions about their new release of the Sailor Moon manga. Looks promising.

Last night I had a dream that the plague had arrived. Most of the world’s people had died, and I got to be Usagi, walking the Earth (or, in some cases, flying) in search of survivors and trying to convince them to let me encase them in crystal for the next thousand years.
Has anyone written that apocafic? I’d love to read it.
