Fake Southern accent because people from the southern US are more likely to vote Republican. That’s just demographics. (It’s not like Stephen doesn’t switch accents to invoke stereotypes/associations of his own when it comes up.)

And you’re complaining that the live version of someone who’s been fake-reporting in her spare time for less than two years doesn’t show as much polish or snappy response time as the cut-down-to-the-best-parts-and-edited version of someone who’s been able to do it as their main job and get paid for it since 1999! Have a little perspective here, please.

Susie Sampson is in no way comparable to Stephen!! Fake southern accent (because southerners are stupid!) and way too “simple” with her humor. As opposed to Stephen whose jokes are usually very intelligent (and genuinely funny.)

There was a post a couple of months ago at therightfangirl where someone had seen her in action at a Tea party rally and were not impressed by how she dropped her accent, stumbled with her questions and didn’t react very cleverly to the answers.

I think you’ve covered most of the reasons why I don’t turn the radio to the Christmas carols station and instead have the “Nightmare Before Christmas” on my mp3 as go to holiday music. (Unrelated rant: It’s a Christmas story, people, NOT Halloween! If I ever had the energy in December, I would so make it my default cubicle decorating theme.) I have expanded to the Christmas Celebration album by Mannheim Steamroller this year.

I currently work at Walmart, and they haven’t been playing Christmas music. Well, at least not yet. Maybe they’ll have decided to start when I go in tonight.
