Practice. Practice a lot. Look up references; copy the references; move on to incorporating the references into your own ideas. Draw from life. Stop by your local library and pick up some How To Draw books. Look up how to do perspective. Look up how to do anatomy. Find people/communities on Deviantart and Tumblr who focus on tutorials, and try some of them out. Practice more. Read a lot of the kind of comics you’d like to create. Read a lot of completely different kinds of comics. Redraw panels (not as a substitute for creating your own things, but as an exercise to help you think about the composition). Keep practicing. I read somewhere that everyone has 10,000 bad drawings in them, and you have to get all of those out before you can start on the good ones — so don’t slow down or get discouraged if you’re not liking something you’ve drawn, because it’s still an important part of progress.

That’s it in a nutshell.
